Baptistin is a tax lawyer with a thorough understanding of the complexities of income tax and VAT.  He is often called upon to intervene during tax inspections to ensure that the taxpayer’s fundamental rights are respected and the rules of procedure are observed (see the many seminars given on this subject).   In general, he regularly assists companies undergoing inspections, particularly in the hotel and catering, construction and subcontracting, IT and other sectors.   He specialises in the development of ‘tax compliance’, the failure to comply with a reporting obligation (UBO register, declaration of payments to tax havens, foreign accounts, legal construction, etc.). He also advises property investors and developers on property tax issues, particularly the implications for VAT.  Furthermore, his in-depth knowledge of cryptocurrencies makes him a valuable ally for investors in this rapidly developing field. This is why he co-authored the book: ‘Cryptomonnaies, cryptiques taxes’ (Cryptocurrencies, cryptic taxes)   Finally, he advises taxpayers on determining the tax consequences in an international situation.
