Luka Houbrechts

Luka focuses mainly on formal and substantive tax law and criminal law, with a particular focus on support during the administrative and judicial phases of tax disputes. He guides clients through the entire process, from the initial tax audit and dispute with the tax administration, to the defence in court. With expertise in personal and corporate taxation, Luka provides accurate and strategic guidance on complex tax issues. He also has a particular interest in the intersection between human rights and taxation, which adds an extra dimension to the handling of cases where the power relationship between the government and citizens plays a major role. Thanks to his pragmatic insight, Luka pursues solutions that not only have a strong legal base, but also have the broader interests of the client at heart. In recent cases, he assisted several large companies and groups during the audit of their companies’ overall tax situations, always monitoring the interests of the taxpayer.
